This is my first topper. I’ve tried on wigs and just can’t get there, so starting here. My hair has thinned a lot with age (48) and I am on all the medications and vitamins with no real improvement. This piece is a natural dark brown. Not red or caramel undertones. A good solid brown. I had to cut the bangs. Please don’t let that discourage you. If I can do it, I promise you can. But do buy some hair shears. I got a pair for about $15 at Ulta. The bangs came down below my eyes out of the package. I wore them swooped to the side for about 24 hours but just cut the bangs as I want that coverage for my big forehead. I used a straightening iron at the lowest setting, mine is 310°, to work out some of the initial waves. I still have a little work to do. The scalp showing at the part looks natural. This is human hair. I can absolutely live with this topper without feeling self-conscious that people will know. Pleased.
